Setna iO has acquired one (1) B757-300 aircraft, equipped with two installed RB211-535 engines, expanding its teardown pipeline across both airframe and engine platforms. The airframe will be disassembled at ecube Solutions in the United Kingdom, while the two RB211-535 engines will be disassembled separately, with valuable parts routed for repair.
Recovered components will move through SETNA’s integrated repair network, including Zulu Global, Landing Gear Technologies (LGT), Setnix, and SETNA Parts Lab, supplying used serviceable material and freshly repaired components to operators, lessors, and MROs globally.
“This acquisition allows us to support two high-demand platforms at once, the B757 airframe and the RB211 engine, through a single teardown,” said Hunter Edens, Partner and Chief Commercial Officer. “The parts recovered here will be routed through our group of MROs, including Zulu Global, Landing Gear Technologies, Setnix, and SETNA Parts Lab, giving customers access to high-quality material across both airframe and engine product lines.
“It also strengthens our position across the aftermarket. We’re able to take a single asset and generate value across multiple repair capabilities within the group, while continuing to serve operators, lessors, and MROs with the material they need.”
